HPP 314

ULTIMATE CAST IRON
60% NICKEL, BARIUM FREE ELECTRODE FOR JOINING DIRTY CONTAMINATED CAST IRONS AND CAST IRONS TO STEEL
GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
The flux coating on HPP314 contains no Barium, eliminating hazardous fumes.  The extremely strong arc drive penetrates surface contaminants.  HPP314 consists of an iron-nickel austenite with finely distributed graphite.  With the extra nickel content, it ensures a crack resistant machinable weld.  The special slag composition can be welded over without  creating porosity.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS: Universal electrode for joining a wide variety of ductile, nodular and malleable cast irons.  Ideally suited for the repair of meehanite dies.
